How Are House Clearance Costs Calculated?

How much is a house clearanceThe cost of a house clearance is calculated on the number of van loads it will take when clearing your property. (You can click the link to read a comprehensive breakdown of costs, and what the average house clearance price is).

At Keke we are dedicated to minimising environmental impact, so we make sure that over 90% of the items we clear are recycled, refurbished, or donated to a local charity to help people in need.

Less than 10% of cleared items end up at landfill, which is great for the environment.

We use professional waste management companies to make sure that all cleared waste is professionally handled in as “green” a way possible.

As you’ll discover with all house clearance companies, because of stringent government guidelines and costs on certain items like fridges, freezers, and mattresses we have to pass on these additional fees for removing them.

Main Factors Affecting Cost of a House Clearance

The main things that effect the cost of a house clearance are:

  1. The quantity of items to be removed
  2. The types of items that need removing
  3. Where your property is based (house clearance costs vary around the country)

Local councils in different regions charge varying prices to dispose of waste, so depending on the type of items to clear, costs may vary slightly.

To give you an idea, a typical 1 bedroom flat or bungalow will usually be cleared with one van load.
